My mother taught me how to pray.
I don't know how she taught me or when... but I'm so glad she did.
I pray out loud when I'm at home and in my head when I'm away.
When I'm home my prayers are usually something like,
"Dear Heavenly Father, PUH-LEASE help me to be patient with my children!!!"
OR...
"PUH-LEASE help me to make it through today!!!"
OR...
"PUH-LEASE HELP ME TO NOT GO CRAZY!!!"
(Yes, I am a frazzled, stressed out mommy.)
Though I pray in front of him all the time, I didn't think Drew really knew or understood what I was doing... until the other day.
I put him in his room and shut the door because he was being naughty.
He started to cry.
I went into my room to cool off and chill out a bit.
And then I heard his little voice pleading,
"Dear Heavenly Father, PUH-LEASE help Mommy to not be angry at me."
My heart melted.
I went back into his room and gave him a big hug and a kiss.
I'm glad he knows how to pray too.

Uh, MY heart melted. That is so awesome. I got all teary-eyed.
Nice tribute to your own mom. Prayer works! Yea, Mother's Day is coming up! I've got Lily, Easton, and Talon for 8 days. (BJ and Cami are in Cabo.) 'Sounds like you need to drop yours off too! They grow up far too quickly. You just have to take a step back, a deep breath, and enjoy!
That made me teary-eyed too! I felt every word you said.
It's nice to know I'm not the only mom that goes crazy throughout the day!
You're a great mom!
oh melt MY heart--so cute!
Ok that was just ridiculously cute. That little guy cracks me up.
