I made these cookie pops for Garrit today.

I also made one very special dinosaur cookie pop for my darling little Valentine.

This is how he felt about it.

Thanks, Baby.

Today I was working on the computer and singing to myself while Drew played with his cars at my feet. Suddenly he stopped what he was doing, looked up at me and said, "You sound like a chicken, Mom."

Thanks, Drew.

I guess I won't try out for American Idol after all.

g Diapers

We consider ourselves a mostly green family.

We reduce, reuse, and recycle almost everything.

We've tried to curb our energy consumption by cutting back on water, turning down our heater and turning off the lights. We carpool to reduce emissions. We use low flow shower heads, and have created our own low flow toilets using glass jars in the toilet tank. We buy most of our clothing and furniture second hand. We recycle our glass, plastic, cardboard, paper, etc. And we compost.

But we're guilty of polluting our environment in a big way...

We use disposable diapers.

Did you know that 50 million disposable diapers enter the landfill every day, where they sit for up to 500 years? The average disposable-diaper-wearing baby contributes around 6000 diapers to the landfill from birth to age two!

Like most parents, I feel guilty for using disposable diapers but making the switch from disposable diapers to cloth diapers seems like such a hassle.

This morning I discovered the g Diaper... the answer to my diaper dilemma. I have yet to try these things but I'm ordering a pack first thing tomorrow.

g Diapers are a hybrid between cloth diapers and disposables. The outside cotton diaper is washable and reusable and the inside liner is flushable, compostable, or tossable. (Watch the videos here.) The inside liner of a g diaper breaks down in the landfill in 90 days (not 500 years)!

Best of all, g Diapers are affordable. A pack of 40 liners costs about the same as a pack of Huggies.

Visit the g Diapers website at www.gdiapers.com

I'll let you know when I get my starter kit!
