29 Days

In 29 days, Garrit will have his Master's degree.

I can't decide if I am more excited or scared for him to graduate.

We know he'll get a job but we still don't know where... or when... or how much he'll make... or what hours he'll be working.

He's so smart and talented and likable. He'll get something good.

I just hope he doesn't have to be gone 60 hours a week. Because between work and school those are his hours... and I HATE it.

Sometimes, when Drew and I miss him, we turn on sports radio. And then we feel like he's home again.

We're Back

California was lovely.

The best part was Lily dressed like this...

What do you think?

I can't make up my mind about this whole Kevin Garne thing.

I obviously don't condone behavior like his. He DEFINITELY should not have done what he did. But if she wanted to press charges against him, or get restitution, why didn't she do it 25 years ago, after the incident? Or even 5 or 10 years later?

Why now? And why again, after she's already received an apology and $150,000 from him?

The SL Trib said, "In 2008, she contacted Garn's eldest son in an e-mail and said that 'nothing will stop me from getting exactly what this matter needs, and that is justice and compensation.'"

So, it sounds like (for her) it's all about the money (oh yeah, and the slander.)

But what about him?

This is the only bad mark on his record, right?

Do you think a person who makes one really bad mistake when they are young should be haunted by it (publicly) 25 years later?

Doesn't an apology, $150,000, 25 years, and a seemingly repentant life count as "justice and compensation"?

I feel bad for the guy, and for his family.

What do you think?

She has her daddy's eyes...

And her mother's thighs.

More Shenanigans

This is how I felt before I had children...

Sigh. Now I feel...

Sundays are especially stressful.

Sport

Lily is a good sport. Poor thing.
Drew picks on her.
A lot.

Here he is growling at her.
(Something he does at least once every hour while she's awake.)

And twisting her arm.

And stealing her paci.

Yoink.

Oh yeah, and trying to push her off the coffee table.

Thanks, Daddy.

How do I get him to be nice to her, besides banishing him to his bedroom every time he's mean? (Because that is what I do... and it's not working.)
